Welcome to Sunday Stories Club!!
If you’re getting this email, you’re officially part of our little writing community, and I’m so excited to have you here!!
As promised, we’re back with another write-in—and this time, we’re making it a little more official!
we’re still casual and fun, though! we just need to get organized as we grow! haha
Our next meetup is this Sunday, August 30, and the space is reserved for 3 hours from 3 PM–6 PM. We’ll have plenty of room to settle in, write, chat, and get to know each other. And if you’re a floor-writer like me, feel free to bring your cozy socks, a blanket, pillow, or a little mat/pad to write on! 😂 We’re making ourselves comfortable!
As we discussed at our last meeting, we’re making this a split-cost writing club! That way, we can keep meeting consistently without the financial burden being on one person (me! LOL). Tickets are just $12/person.

We also have our own group chat!
As requested, we now have our own Sunday Stories Club chat on Substack! 🎉
This is where we can stay connected between meetups and actually build a writing community—not just show up every couple of weeks and disappear until the next one!😂
You can use the chat for anything writing-related, like:
☕️ “Anyone wanna grab coffee and write?”
💻 “I’m writing right now! Anyone want to hop on Google Meet and write together?”
📚 “Does anyone have recommendations for books on writing?”
📝 “I’m stuck on this part of my story—anyone available to brainstorm with me?”
✨ “What is everyone working on right now? I need some inspo!”
Basically, if it’s writing-related or something that would be helpful/interesting to the community, post it!
Here’s the schedule for Sunday:
2:45–3:00 PM — Arrive, park & sign in
Please plan to arrive before 3:00 PM if possible. Parking was hectic last time, so give yourself a little extra time. You may need to park a block or so down for street parking. I was assured that parking is much better in the late afternoon, but it’s still a good idea to arrive early and be prepared for a short walk.
3:00–3:15 PM — Coffee & meet people
3:15–3:25 PM — Goals & intention setting
3:25–4:20 PM — Writing sprint #1
4:20–4:35 PM — Break & socialize
4:35–5:30 PM — Writing sprint #2
5:30–6:00 PM — Sharing, accountability & networking
The goal is really just to have a space where we can write, talk, share, and get to know each other. No pressure to have a finished manuscript, no pressure to share if you don’t want to—just come as you are and bring whatever you’re working on!
I’m really excited about what this can become, and I appreciate you all so much for being here at the beginning!! Can’t wait to see you Sunday!
